Devanning
Devanning, also known as stripping, is the process of unloading cargo from a shipping container after it arrives at its destination.
This involves systematically removing goods, inspecting them for damage or discrepancies, and organizing them for storage or delivery. It usually takes place at a warehouse, distribution center, or Container Freight Station (CFS).
Proper devanning ensures inventory accuracy, prevents damage, and facilitates efficient distribution. It requires specialized equipment and careful handling to avoid product loss.
