Container Freight Station (CFS)
A Container Freight Station (CFS) is a facility where cargo is consolidated or deconsolidated, and containers are loaded or unloaded for import and export.
At a CFS, less-than-container load (LCL) shipments are consolidated into full container loads (FCL) for export or deconsolidated for import.
These facilities also handle sorting, labeling, temporary storage, and customs clearance. Utilizing a CFS improves efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures smooth logistics operations.
